A shooting at a casino in Texas has left two people dead and several others hurt.
The incident happened at the Lucky Eagle Casino, which is on the Kickapoo reservation near Eagle Pass, close to the border with Mexico. Police were called to the casino late at night after reports of gunfire.
Officials say that a man named Keryan Jones, who is 34 years old, ran away from the scene after the shooting. He was later caught by police about 100 miles away.
Before the shooting, a big group of people were at the casino for a raffle. Witnesses said they heard gunshots and then saw people running and trying to escape.
Police found Jones’ car and stopped it using special maneuvers. They also found a weapon at the scene.
Five people who were badly hurt were flown to hospitals in San Antonio. One of the people who died was Marcus Antley, who used to work for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The leaders of the Kickapoo tribe, who run the casino, said they were very sad about what happened. They thanked the police and other emergency workers who helped. The police in Eagle Pass said they are praying for the injured and thanked everyone who helped keep the community safe.
