Penn State University’s football team has welcomed two new players to its 2026 class. Mason Bandhauer and Pete Eglitis, both talented offensive tackles, have committed to joining the Nittany Lions.
Bandhauer has a family connection to Iowa State University, as his father was a quarterback for the Cyclones. Although he initially chose Iowa State in October 2024, even with offers from other schools like Nebraska, Kansas State, and Oklahoma State. Bandhauer has changed his mind and will now be heading to Penn State.
Eglitis, who is from Ohio, had offers from several schools including Louisville, Missouri, Kentucky, Pitt, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest. Before choosing Iowa State over the summer, he officially visited Louisville and Pitt. Now, he is set to join Penn State.
With the addition of Bandhauer and Eglitis, Penn State now has eight players committed to its 2026 recruiting class. More players are expected to join as the National Signing Day approaches on February 4th.
