A Florida man is in trouble with the law after an argument with his neighbor allegedly escalated. Minor Catledge, who is 61 years old, was arrested and charged with a serious crime called aggravated assault.
The police say that on a Friday, Catledge threatened his neighbor with two small knives. The problem started when the neighbor was walking her dog on a path near Catledge’s property.
According to the police, Catledge thought the path was his. He reportedly told the woman that he would “eat” her dog if she walked there again.
The police talked to Catledge, and it seemed like things were okay. But just an hour later, the neighbor called the police again, saying she needed help.
The police say that Catledge came to her property with a knife and started threatening her and her family. Another police officer heard Catledge making threats to the woman, including saying he would stab her for calling the police.
Catledge was arrested and is being held on a $5,000 bond. The police also say that while he was being taken to jail, Catledge said he would “beat” his neighbor when he got out. The investigation is ongoing.
