Report: 2025 Marked a Turning Point on Climate Change
A new report from several conservative energy groups says that 2025 is the year people started to move away from climate change worries. This comes as President Trump has been working to increase American energy production since returning to office.
The groups, including the American Energy Institute, say people are beginning to realize that the idea of “net-zero” emissions might not be realistic. “Net-zero” means trying to remove as much carbon from the atmosphere as we put in.
Jason Isaac, head of the American Energy Institute, said that people are now focusing on having reliable and affordable energy. He believes President Trump has helped this shift by putting America’s energy needs first.
Since coming back to the White House, President Trump has signed orders to make it easier to produce energy in the U.S. He also signed a big bill that changes some of the rules around energy taxes, making it easier to develop traditional energy sources.
The report points to news stories from different sources that show a change in how people talk about climate change. For example, some articles discuss how efforts to fight climate change are slowing down, and how some politicians are now focusing on the reality of energy needs.
Steve Milloy, from the Energy and Environment Legal Institute, said that this change is because of President Trump’s policies and the work of people who have questioned climate change worries for years.
