Ukrainian Leader Warns of Escalating Conflict, Calls for Action
UNITED NATIONS – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed world leaders Wednesday, expressing deep concern about what he called a dangerous increase in global military activity. He urged the international community to take decisive action regarding Russia’s ongoing actions, suggesting President Putin aims to extend the conflict beyond Ukraine.
Zelenskyy stated that the world is facing an arms race, with Ukraine being the initial focus. He also claimed Russian involvement is growing in other European nations, implying a broader ambition by Putin.
President Zelenskyy’s remarks follow a meeting with President Trump, who voiced his support for Ukraine and disapproval of Russia’s aggression. Trump expressed optimism about Ukraine regaining its territory, reinforcing his commitment to a strong and secure Europe.
