A tragic incident occurred in California last month, resulting in the death of a young mother of three. Asia Guercy, 25, was described by her sister as a dedicated and loving parent. According to reports, her husband, 31-year-old Isaac Albert Perez, is accused of driving her and another man off the road during an alleged confrontation.
The events unfolded on January 26 around midnight when the San Bernardino Police Department received reports of a two-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers found an unresponsive man and woman in one of the cars. Sadly, both victims were declared dead at the scene.
Local authorities identified the victims as Asia Guercy and 31-year-old Charles Dark. Following the deadly collision, a homicide investigation was launched, leading to Perez’s arrest.
Reports indicate that earlier that night, Perez confronted his wife and Dark at a park over suspicions of an affair. After the confrontation, Perez allegedly followed them and intentionally crashed into their vehicle, causing it to careen through a fence into a flood control channel.
Inmate records show that Perez was arrested shortly after the incident and is being charged with murder. He is currently ineligible for bail and has a court appearance scheduled for March 3, during which he pleaded not guilty.
Asia had been married to Perez for 11 years, and they had three children together. Her sister has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support Asia’s funeral and provide for the children. It was noted that Asia had previously attempted to file a restraining order against her husband due to domestic violence, but her request was denied.
Maliya Guercy, Asia’s sister, revealed that her sister endured both verbal and physical abuse during the marriage and was in the process of leaving Perez at the time of the tragic incident. She expressed deep sorrow over the loss, emphasizing Asia’s strength and spirit.
The coroner’s office has stated that Asia’s cause of death was blunt force trauma. A heartfelt message on the GoFundMe page described her as a kind person with a strong belief in God, who regularly attended church with her children.
