She recalled meeting her late ex-husband, Eddie Van Halen, at a concert. They connected backstage and started talking. Soon after, she attended another concert with him, and they were together from then on, marrying just eight months later.
Bertinelli and Van Halen were married in 1981 and remained together for 26 years. They had a son, Wolfgang. Sadly, Van Halen passed away in 2020 after battling cancer.
Bertinelli later married businessman Tom Vitale in 2011, but they divorced in 2022. The actress has spoken openly about the emotional difficulties she faced during that marriage.
