Tyrese Gibson, the actor known for his role in the Fast & Furious movies, is facing legal trouble in Georgia. A warrant was issued for his arrest after his large dogs were accused of attacking and killing a neighbor’s small dog.
Police say that on September 18th, one or more of Gibson’s Cane Corso dogs attacked a neighbor’s Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, causing its death. Authorities had already received several complaints about Gibson’s dogs being loose in his neighborhood. They had given Gibson warnings about keeping his dogs under control.
On September 22nd, police got a search warrant for Gibson’s property, but he and his dogs weren’t there. An arrest warrant was then issued for Gibson, accusing him of animal cruelty. Police say he was asked to turn himself in but didn’t.
Police are worried about the safety of the neighborhood, especially with large dogs roaming around. They want to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again, and they emphasize the importance of keeping pets and children safe.
Gibson’s lawyer says that he is working with the police and feels sorry for the family who lost their dog. Gibson has also found new homes for his dogs.
The neighbor who lost his dog, Henry, said he was heartbroken. He described Henry as a sweet dog and said it was awful to find him dead.
