Two beloved characters from the popular series “Bridgerton” are set to make their return in the upcoming fourth season. At a special fan event in London on February 14, cast members Simone Ashley and Jonathan Bailey, who portrayed Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma, confirmed their participation.
The fourth season will showcase the couple as they navigate life with their child, as shared by the show’s producers during the celebration. Anthony and Kate were the focal point of season two, which focused on different members of the Bridgerton family and their romantic entanglements throughout the series.
Simone Ashley, 29, and Jonathan Bailey, 36, also made appearances in season three, where their characters embarked on a journey from London to India to welcome their baby. At the Monte-Carlo Television Festival last June, Ashley shared her hopes for their return, stating that they deeply cherish their characters and the relationship they represent on the show.
Following the Valentine’s Day fan event, Netflix released initial images from season four, confirming that Luke Thompson, known for playing Benedict, will take on the lead role as he becomes romantically involved with Yerin Ha’s character, Sophie.
In a sneak peek released by the streaming service, Queen Charlotte, portrayed by Golda Rosheuvel, announces the arrival of a new season, while Lady Danbury, played by Adjoa Andoh, warmly welcomes fans to the set. The teaser features glimpses of key scenes, highlighting the evolving relationships among characters, including tender moments shared around the Bridgerton family.
