President-elect Trump has announced the appointments of three special envoys to rejuvenate the entertainment industry in Hollywood. He revealed that actor Jon Voight, filmmaker Mel Gibson, and star Sylvester Stallone will take on this important role.
In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump expressed his pride in introducing these three well-known figures, describing Hollywood as a “great but very troubled place” that has suffered from a decline in business over the past four years due to competition from foreign markets. He is determined to bring Hollywood back to life, making it “bigger, better, and stronger than ever before.”
Trump stated that Voight, Gibson, and Stallone will serve as his “eyes and ears” in Hollywood, adding that he intends to act on their suggestions to help restore the film industry to its former glory, reminiscent of what he called the “Golden Age of Hollywood.”
During a recent gala event, Stallone referred to Trump as a “second George Washington,” underscoring his high regard for the incoming president. He spoke about the significant impact Trump has had and how he believes the nation is on the cusp of great things under Trump’s leadership.
Similarly, Gibson, who openly supports Trump in the upcoming election, did not shy away from criticizing Vice President Kamala Harris when asked about her. He made a humorous remark affirming his allegiance to Trump, stating that letting Harris into office would have dire consequences due to her lack of a solid policy track record.
Gibson admitted that he was taken aback by his new role but is ready to contribute positively. Voight, a long-time Trump supporter, echoed Gibson’s sentiments about Hollywood’s decline and expressed hope for its restoration with Trump’s guidance.
He acknowledged witnessing Hollywood’s decline over the years and expressed optimism that, with the right leadership, they can revitalize the industry. Voight emphasized the resilience of the Hollywood community and the determination to rebuild after facing hardships.
As the new administration moves forward, many are hopeful that the combined efforts of these prominent figures will bring a fresh perspective and energy to Hollywood and help it recover from recent challenges.
