An 8-year-old girl lost her life following an incident where a teacher allegedly stabbed her at an elementary school in Daejeon, South Korea, as reported by various news outlets.
On February 10, police arrived at the school and found both the child and the female teacher, who is in her 40s, with stab wounds. The young girl sustained injuries to her neck and arm and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she unfortunately died. Authorities noted that she had been reported missing after skipping an after-school art class.
The teacher, who is currently receiving medical attention, reportedly confessed to the stabbing during her conversation with law enforcement.
According to reports, the teacher had returned to her duties at the school last year after taking time off due to depression. The situation raises many questions, including whether the teacher has been arrested or charged, as well as the motive behind this tragic event.
