A young man from Florida has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for a tragic accident that resulted in the deaths of six farmworkers in Palm Beach. On January 6, 2025, 20-year-old Noah Galle, who was only 17 at the time of the accident, pleaded guilty to six counts of vehicular homicide. He reached a plea agreement with prosecutors to avoid a lengthy trial.
The fatal incident occurred on January 27, 2022, when Galle’s BMW M5 crashed into the back of a van carrying the victims while he was reportedly speeding at 151 mph. The impact was severe, pushing the van several feet forward and causing catastrophic injuries to all inside. The victims were identified as Mirlaine Julceus (45), Filaine Dieu (46), Vanice Percina (29), Remize Michel (53), Marie Louis (61), and Michel Saint (77).
Had the case gone to trial, Galle faced a minimum sentence of 55 years in prison, according to reports. As part of the plea deal, he will also serve 180 days in prison, followed by seven years of probation and other penalties, including a three-year suspension of his driver’s license and 800 hours of community service.
Galle reportedly shared videos on social media showcasing his reckless driving, claiming speeds of up to 182 mph, and even offered cash prizes for guessing his speed in one of the posts. Following the crash, it was revealed that he had paid over $100,000 in cash for his vehicle.
In a unique part of his sentencing, the judge ordered Galle to create a one-minute video for social media to raise awareness about safe driving. During the sentencing, Galle did not personally speak but had his lawyer read a statement reflecting his remorse. He expressed deep regret for his actions, wishing he had been the one to die instead of the victims.
Families of the victims shared mixed feelings regarding Galle’s plea deal. Some did not want him to serve time in prison, emphasizing that no amount of time behind bars can bring back their loved ones. They felt the resolution was appropriate, recognizing the case as an undeniable tragedy.
