The incident occurred on the night of Saturday, November 23, when the boy’s pickup truck collided with a black bear while driving in Campbell County. According to reports, the boy was driving around 8:15 p.m. on Stinking Creek Road, which is located in a remote, mountainous area close to the Kentucky border. A black bear unexpectedly appeared in front of the truck, leaving the driver with no chance to avoid it.
The impact was severe, as the bear struck the front bumper of the truck, causing it to veer off the road before coming to a stop.
