The weekend box office saw a mix of entertainment, with Taylor Swift’s new film, “The Official Release Party of a Show Girl,” taking the top spot. The movie, linked to her recent album, brought in $33 million across North America.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s new movie, “The Smashing Machine,” had a more modest opening, earning $6 million. Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another,” continued to do well, adding $11.1 million to its total.
Other films in the top spots included DreamWorks’ “Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie” with $5.2 million, and “The Conjuring: Last Rites” earning $4 million. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle,” “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “The Strangers: Chapter 2,” “Good Boy,” and “Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1” also made the top ten.
