Gabriel Macht, known for his role in the hit series “Suits,” is embracing a new chapter in his life by keeping a low profile regarding his personal affairs. In a recent interview, the 53-year-old actor revealed that he and his family have relocated from the United States to Europe, but he prefers not to disclose the exact location of their new home.
“I am based somewhere in Europe, but I don’t tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps,” Macht said. He expressed his desire to explore the world with his family after feeling confined during the COVID-19 pandemic while living in Manhattan.
Before the pandemic, Macht and his wife, Jacinda Barrett, had plans to homeschool their children. However, being “stuck” in New York made them reconsider, leading to their decision to leave the city and see what the world has to offer. The couple, who tied the knot in 2004, have two children: daughter Satine, 17, and son Luca, 10.
After a successful run on “Suits” from 2011 to 2019, Macht took a hiatus from acting to focus on family and pursue other interests. He noted that he wasn’t keen on taking on new projects immediately after such an intense series experience.
Now, Macht is set to reprise his iconic role of Harvey Specter in a reboot titled “Suits LA.” He indicated that the timing feels right for his family to return, and he looks forward to passing the baton to new cast members in this next chapter.
In 2024, the cast of “Suits,” including Macht, had a reunion at the Golden Globes, where they announced the winner of the best television drama category. However, Meghan Markle, who starred in the series until its eighth season, was noticeably absent from this gathering. Reportedly, she had a previous commitment.
The excitement among the cast was evident, as Gina Torres shared their joy in reconnecting, even teasing that they no longer have Markle’s contact information, suggesting that she would be watching from afar.
