LIMA, Peru — Popular Colombian singer Shakira announced that she will be returning to the stage for her world tour, with a much-anticipated concert in Lima, Peru, scheduled for Monday evening. This comes after she had to cancel a performance over the weekend due to health concerns.
The four-time Grammy winner took to social media to update her fans, revealing that her concert at Lima’s Estadio Nacional will start at 8:15 p.m. local time.
Shakira, who is 48 years old, flew into Peru on Friday and had plans for performances on both Sunday and Monday. Unfortunately, she had to cancel the Sunday show after being hospitalized with an abdominal issue, leaving many of her fans disappointed.
The tour began last week with successful shows in Brazil, specifically in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. After her concert in Peru, Shakira’s tour will proceed to countries such as Colombia, Chile, and Mexico, as well as various U.S. cities like Orlando, Houston, Detroit, Boston, New York, and San Francisco.
She also mentioned that her team is currently working on rescheduling the concert that was canceled on Sunday.
