Ozzy Osbourne is set to take the stage for a memorable performance with Black Sabbath, but he won’t be leading a full set as he gears up for the band’s final reunion concert. During a recent segment on his SiriusXM channel, Ozzy shared that he plans to participate in a few songs but won’t be doing a complete performance.
At 76 years old, the iconic rock star expressed, “I’m not planning on doing a set with Black Sabbath but I am doing little bits and pieces with them. I am doing what I can, where I feel comfortable.” He has faced challenges due to health issues but remains optimistic. “I am trying to get back on my feet,” he explained, noting that while he may take things slowly, he is still committed to performing.
Despite his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he has dealt with since 2003, Ozzy is determined to connect with fans. His wife, Sharon Osbourne, emphasized his emotional response to returning to the stage and reassured that, although he faces mobility challenges, his voice remains strong.
The final concert by Black Sabbath is scheduled for July 5 at Villa Park in Birmingham, a place Ozzy fondly calls home. In his statement, he remarked, “It’s my time to go back to the beginning … time for me to give back to the place where I was born,” highlighting the significance of the event.
This monumental concert will also feature several prominent bands like Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera, among others. The event aims to raise funds for important causes, including Cure Parkinson’s and local children’s hospitals.
