Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing accusations about his treatment of Kim Porter, who was his former partner and the mother of three of his children. This controversy is part of a new docuseries that touches on various sexual misconduct allegations against the music mogul.
The claims originate from Danyel Smith, who previously served as the editor-in-chief of Vibe magazine. She is among several individuals featured in the upcoming docuseries titled “The Fall of Diddy,” which is set to air on January 27 and 28 on Investigation Discovery and will also be available for streaming on Max.
In an exclusive preview of the docuseries, Smith recounts witnessing Combs behave poorly towards Porter. She shared an incident where they were at a nightclub when Combs arrived and began shouting at Porter, insisting she should be home and not out. According to Smith, he then took her handbag and dumped its contents in front of everyone.
Combs and Porter had three children together: Christian Combs, and twins Jessie James Combs and D’Lila Combs. Additionally, Quincy Brown, Porter’s son from a previous relationship, was adopted by Combs when Quincy was three years old.
In response to Smith’s allegations, Combs’ legal team criticized the documentary. They claimed it was designed to exploit the current media attention surrounding Combs and accused the producers of not allowing adequate time for his representatives to respond to the claims. They argued that many statements made in the docuseries are baseless and lack proper context.
Combs is currently awaiting trial on serious federal charges related to sex trafficking and other accusations following an indictment in September, to which he has pleaded not guilty.
The docuseries will also include interviews with former employees and accusers of Combs, as well as D. Woods, a member of the girl group Danity Kane, which was created on Combs’ reality show, “Making the Band.”
