Melissa Joan Hart recently revealed her favorite episode from the beloved show Sabrina the Teenage Witch, one that she finds especially meaningful for her children. Speaking at a panel during the 90s Con in Daytona Beach, Florida, the actress, who starred as Sabrina from 1996 to 2003, highlighted the episode about pancakes.
Hart explained, "My favorite episode is the pancake episode because I got to dumpster dive. I was craving pancakes and syrup and having hallucinations." She mentioned that this particular episode has served as a useful teaching tool for her three sons: Mason, 18, Braydon, 16, and Tucker, 12.
“I show my kids it every time I try to explain addiction. This is why you should never smoke cigarettes,” Hart noted, laughing as she recalled the episode’s lesson.
In the third season of the show, Sabrina learns that her family has a special weakness for pancakes, leading to humorous situations throughout the episode. Her aunts, Hilda and Zelda, express concern about this potential addiction, but Sabrina can’t resist the temptation.
In a previous interview, Hart expanded on her views about addiction, stating, "Drugs do not make someone happy. Not in the long run. Absolutely not. I think they are a quick fix and a long-term problem." She shared insights from her own experiences in her memoir, revealing her past struggles with substance use during her younger years.
