Jack Fincham Sentenced to Six Weeks in Jail After Dog Attacks
Jack Fincham, known from Love Island U.K., has been sentenced to six weeks behind bars after his dog attacked two people.
On Wednesday, January 29, Essex Police revealed that the 32-year-old reality star was jailed after pleading guilty to two counts of having a dangerously out-of-control dog.
Fincham gained fame in 2018 after winning the fourth season of Love Island U.K. alongside his former partner, Dani Dyer.
Authorities reported that Fincham’s dog was involved in an incident in Kent where it injured a man. Fincham admitted his guilt at Southend-on-Sea Magistrates’ Court, resulting in his six-week jail term.
The first reported attack occurred in September 2022 on Saleh Drive in Swanley, Kent, when a man in his 40s was bitten on the arm by Fincham’s dog. Later, in June 2024, the dog attacked again, this time biting a woman’s leg in Grays, Essex.
During the court proceedings, prosecutor Erin Peck explained that the man from the initial incident, Robert Sudell, had previously accepted Fincham’s apology. After the first attack, Fincham was given a caution and was required to attend a responsible dog ownership course, along with a mandate to muzzle his dog.
However, after the second incident, he faced charges. In addition to his jail sentence, Fincham has been ordered to pay £2,000 for kenneling costs, a £961 fine, and £200 in compensation to Sudell. He must also ensure that his dog is muzzled in public, kept on a leash, and cannot be left alone with anyone under 16 years old.
