Liverpool Adjusts Lineup for Merseyside Derby
LIVERPOOL, England – Liverpool’s manager made some changes to the starting lineup for Saturday’s game against Everton. Two of the team’s big summer additions, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz, started the game on the bench.
Isak recently played in Liverpool’s Champions League victory over Atlético Madrid. Wirtz had been a regular starter in previous Premier League games and the start of the Champions League.
Hugo Ekitike was chosen to start instead of Isak. Alexis Mac Allister took Wirtz’s spot in the lineup. Wirtz, who came to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen, has yet to score this season.
Milos Kerkez played at left back, replacing Andy Robertson. On the right side, Conor Bradley started instead of Jeremie Frimpong. The team hopes these strategic changes will bring a victory.
