“Dancing with the Stars” is back for its 34th season, and while some folks have taken to social media to criticize the performers, seasoned pro Lindsay Arnold is standing up for her friends and colleagues.
Arnold, a former “Dancing with the Stars” pro, reminded viewers that the people on the show are real individuals putting in hard work. She expressed her frustration with online negativity aimed at the dancers, hosts, and judges. Arnold emphasized that it’s easy to sit at home and criticize, but much harder to actually perform on the show.
She pointed out that her younger sister, Rylee, is currently competing on the show with Pentatonix singer Scott Hoying. Arnold is understandably protective of her sister and her fellow dancers.
While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, Arnold encouraged viewers to be respectful and remember that the people on the show are doing their best. It’s fine to have a favorite, but it’s not right to tear down others in the process. “Dancing with the Stars” airs Tuesdays on ABC and Disney+, and streams the next day on Hulu.
