Joe Keery recently shared his thoughts on the conclusion of the popular series Stranger Things. In an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the 32-year-old actor, who is famous for his role as Steve Harrington, reflected on the journey of the show, particularly as they wrapped up filming the fifth and final season in December.
"It’s crazy," Keery remarked. He noted that the shooting had spanned about a year, indicating how significant this time has been for him. "To wrap it all up and the anticipation of working on something for so long—it’s been one-third of my life, really," he explained.
Keery went on to describe the final day of filming as particularly emotional. “Everything really hit on that last day,” he said, emphasizing the deep connection he feels to the cast and crew.
He also expressed how moving it was to see his fellow cast members finish their parts. "Those people are family for life for me," he said, referring to co-stars like Millie Bobby Brown and Caleb McLaughlin.
Netflix announced the end of filming for Stranger Things on December 10, sharing photos of the cast on set, all of whom reflected on the remarkable experience of being part of the show. Finn Wolfhard, who plays Mike Wheeler, tweeted about his shock at the project wrapping up after a year of hard work. Similarly, Noah Schnapp, known for his role as Will Byers, described the experience as very emotional as he concluded his scenes.
