The Israeli military has reported carrying out an operation in the southern Gaza Strip, targeting individuals who were operating a drone. This incident, which occurred on Wednesday, involved a drone that was seen crossing into Gaza from Israel, a situation that has raised concerns due to previous attempts to use drones for weapon smuggling.
According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, a 44-year-old man lost his life in the Israeli strike near Rafah, although further specifics were not provided. Munir al-Bursh, the ministry’s director general, stated that since a temporary ceasefire was established last month, at least 92 Palestinians have been killed, with over 800 others injured as a result of Israeli military action.
The Israeli military has made it clear that they will engage with anyone who approaches their troops or enters specific areas against the terms of the ceasefire. In response, Hamas has indicated that they may postpone the next hostage release, accusing Israel of breaking the ceasefire agreement through military actions and by restricting essential aid from entering Gaza.
