NEW YORK — The nominations for the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards are led by Taylor Swift and Morgan Wallen, each receiving ten nods. Close behind with nine nominations are Kendrick Lamar, Sabrina Carpenter, and Post Malone.
The iHeartRadio Music Awards aim to celebrate the artists who have dominated airwaves over the past year. This year’s event will include a tribute to Los Angeles following the recent wildfires, with plans to raise funds for local relief efforts through FireAidLA.org.
A significant benefit concert, involving stars such as Billie Eilish, Stevie Wonder, Green Day, and Joni Mitchell, is also part of this initiative. According to the organizers, donations from the concert and ticket sales will be distributed to support both immediate relief and long-term prevention measures against future wildfires, working alongside the Annenberg Foundation.
John Sykes, president of entertainment enterprises, along with Tom Poleman, chief programming officer, emphasized that the iHeartRadio Music Awards celebrate the artistic contributions of musicians, rather than being a competition. They expressed their commitment to supporting communities impacted by the recent tragedy in Los Angeles.
This year, Lady Gaga is set to receive the innovator award, recognizing her influence on both music and culture, while Mariah Carey will be honored with the icon award for her extraordinary career.
Swift’s groundbreaking Eras Tour will also be acknowledged with a new accolade, “Tour of the Century,” highlighting its remarkable impact.
Fans will have the chance to vote in several categories, including favorite lyrics, music video, and tour style. Voting has begun and will close on March 10 at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
One of the highlights will be the song of the year category, featuring nominees like Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” and tracks from other prominent artists such as Doja Cat and Hozier.
The 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards will broadcast live from the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on March 17 at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX, also available on iHeartRadio stations across the U.S. and via the app.
