A tragic accident in Colombia has claimed the life of singer-songwriter Yeison Jiménez, along with five others. The plane crash occurred Saturday, stunning fans and the music community.
Jiménez, just 34 years old, was known for his contributions to Colombian regional music. News of his passing has prompted an outpouring of grief.
“With heavy hearts… the team of Yeison Jiménez deeply regret to inform you of his passing,” a statement from the musician’s Instagram said. The statement celebrated Jiménez’s perseverance, discipline, and love for his community.
Reports indicate the plane went down shortly after takeoff. Among those on board were members of Jiménez’s team: Jefferson Osorio, Juan Manuel Rodríguez, Óscar Marín, Weisman Mora, and Captain Fernando Torres. All six were killed.
In a strange twist, Jiménez had previously spoken about recurring dreams foretelling a plane crash.
