A healthcare executive from New York has been charged with multiple serious offenses related to child sexual abuse material, according to authorities.
Jacob Israel Walden, 38, appeared in court on January 23, facing six charges, which include sexual exploitation of children, receiving child pornography, and possessing such material. This information comes from a statement released by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York.
Prosecutors say that Walden was a frequent buyer of child sexual abuse material from a large network that produced and distributed these illegal contents. They allege that this ring targeted adult men and sold the material through various channels.
The investigation revealed that Walden allegedly communicated with minors through social media and other messaging apps, encouraging them to send explicit content in exchange for money. Reports suggest that during some of these chats, he insisted that the minors call him “daddy” and transferred payments to them electronically.
Documents obtained by the prosecutors indicate that the probe into Walden began in September 2023. They identified at least 11 female victims, aged between 14 and 17, whom he allegedly contacted and attempted to lure into creating sexually explicit material from as far back as 2020.
Walden is also accused of purchasing child sexual abuse material online, and investigators say they found numerous explicit images and videos on his iPhone.
Walden was arrested on July 31, 2024, following the complaint. A judge has ordered him to be detained until the trial. It remains unclear if he has pleaded, and his attorney has refrained from providing comments.
If found guilty, Walden could face a minimum sentence of 15 years and up to 30 years in prison.
