Two young men are in trouble after an explosion at Harvard Medical School.
Officials say Logan D. Patterson, 18, and Dominick F. Cardoza, 20, were arrested for allegedly setting off a big firework inside the Goldenson Building. This caused an explosion around 2:25 a.m.
The men were reportedly seen on video climbing a fence and scaffolding to get to the building’s roof.
Both Patterson and Cardoza are now charged with conspiracy to damage property using fire or explosives.
The FBI in Boston said that setting off an explosive at a school isn’t a joke. They warned that anyone who uses explosives to damage property will be arrested.
One person who heard the explosion said it was very loud. Another said it would be terrible if anyone had been hurt.
Reports say the men were caught after bragging about what they did. They were in the area for Halloween parties before the incident.
The suspects went to court and will have another hearing later in November. If they are found guilty, they could face up to five years in prison and a large fine.
