Israel Defense Forces Expose Hamas Terror Tactics in Gaza City
Gaza City – In a recent tour led by the Israeli military, international journalists were given a rare glimpse into the ongoing efforts to dismantle Hamas operations within Gaza City. The tour highlighted the challenges faced by Israeli soldiers in their mission to protect their citizens from the threat of terrorism.
The IDF showed reporters a Hamas tunnel network located near a Jordanian hospital, revealing how Hamas exploits civilian infrastructure for military purposes. According to military officials, the tunnel was used for weapons development.
This evidence supports Israel’s long-standing claim that Hamas embeds itself within the civilian population, using schools, hospitals, and residential areas as shields for their terrorist activities.
The tour, which traveled through the Netzarim corridor, separating northern and southern Gaza, showed the wreckage left by years of conflict. While much of Gaza City is now empty due to the war, prior the war it used to be home to roughly 1 million people.
IDF soldiers stated that operations are carried out in a deliberate manner to minimize harm to civilians. They also stated they have urged civilians to move south for their own safety.
Israel has long maintained that its actions in Gaza are a necessary response to Hamas aggression, including rocket attacks and cross-border incursions. The goal is to disable Hamas’ capabilities and establish security for Israeli citizens.
While international organizations have expressed concern over the humanitarian situation in Gaza, Israel has emphasized its commitment to providing aid and assistance to the civilian population while working to dismantle the terrorist infrastructure that endangers both Israelis and Gazans.
