Country music icon Dolly Parton is taking a break from the stage. At 79, Parton announced she’s postponing her upcoming Las Vegas concerts due to doctor’s orders.
In a statement shared with fans, Parton explained she needs to undergo a few medical procedures. While she joked about it being time for her “100,000-mile check-up,” she emphasized the seriousness of needing to be in top shape for her fans.
The “Jolene” singer had six performances scheduled at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. Parton wants to ensure she can deliver the high-quality show her fans expect and deserve.
While she’ll be taking it easy and working on projects from her Nashville home, Parton assured fans that she has no plans to retire. She believes God hasn’t told her to stop working yet.
The postponed Las Vegas shows are now planned for September 2026. Earlier this month, Parton also missed a Dollywood event due to a kidney stone and infection.
