Country Singer Mark Chesnutt Cancels Shows Due to Health Concerns
Country music fans are sending well wishes to Mark Chesnutt, the voice behind hits like “Brother Jukebox,” after the singer was hospitalized. Chesnutt had to cancel a planned performance with Alabama in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, after falling ill upon arrival.
His team reported that Chesnutt is currently undergoing tests for low sodium levels and high blood pressure, but is in stable condition. In addition to the Louisiana show, a concert in New Mexico has also been called off.
Chesnutt’s representatives shared his regrets, saying he hopes to return to both cities to perform for his fans soon. It’s not yet known if any other scheduled shows will be affected.
