Andrew Bailey Named Co-Deputy Director of the FBI
In a significant development, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has been appointed as a co-deputy director of the FBI, joining forces with Deputy Director Dan Bongino. This announcement was made by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel.
Bailey is recognized for his outstanding service as Missouri’s attorney general, where he launched a task force aimed at combating human trafficking and addressed thousands of reported incidents in the state. He has also made strides in improving the prosecution of sexual assault cases by clearing a backlog of evidence kits.
Bailey’s record includes strong support for law enforcement. He has defended the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department in civil litigation and received endorsements from groups like the Missouri Fraternal Order of Police. During his tenure, Bailey held public officials accountable, demanding resignations for misconduct and pursuing legal action against corrupt politicians.
In his new role, Bailey expressed gratitude, stating, “I am honored to serve as the Co-Deputy Director of the FBI. I appreciate President Trump, AG Bondi, and Director Patel for this opportunity as we aim to make America safe again.”
Kash Patel, highlighting the importance of this appointment, emphasized that Bailey will be instrumental in advancing the President’s mission to eliminate threats in America. The FBI, under Patel’s leadership, has already seen significant success, with a notable increase in arrests related to violent crimes, terrorism, and human trafficking.
The appointment aligns with President Trump’s broader strategy to enhance public safety. With more federal resources being allocated to combat key issues like crime, the administration aims to hold accountable those who harm communities and undermine the rule of law.
As crime rates in Washington, D.C., remain a pressing concern, Bailey’s addition to the team comes at a crucial time. Since the onset of federal oversight in the city, there have been numerous arrests, including of serious offenders, reflecting the administration’s commitment to restoring safety and order.
This new leadership is part of an ongoing commitment to ensure that America becomes one of the safest countries in the world, focusing on law and order as pillars of a strong society.
