Savannah Chrisley is addressing rumors surrounding her parents’ recent pardons. The speculation claims that she may have used inappropriate means to secure the release of her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, which she vehemently denies.
In a recent episode of her podcast “Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley,” she stated, “Both claims are laughable. I wish you could see my bank account. I’m not sleeping with someone for a pardon; I have more self-respect than that.”
Todd and Julie Chrisley, stars of the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best,” were released from prison after receiving pardons from former President Donald Trump. They had faced significant prison time, with Todd sentenced to 12 years and Julie to seven years for bank fraud and tax evasion related to over $30 million in fraudulent loans and taxes.
Savannah emphasizes that her relentless fight for her parents’ release was the reason for their pardons. She has been vocal in her efforts to advocate for them since their incarceration in January 2023, directly reaching out to Trump in hopes of securing clemency.
“The reasons why my parents got presidential pardons is because they had a daughter who refused to give up on them,” Savannah expressed. She further detailed her commitment to challenging a system she believes was unfairly targeting her family, stating that her advocacy led to a deeper investigation into their case.
As the Chrisley family adjusts to life after prison, Savannah is hopeful about creating new memories and cherishing family moments that were lost during her parents’ time behind bars. Todd, during a press conference, shared that his faith and strong family connections helped him endure his experience in prison.
Now free, Todd looks forward to returning to normalcy, ready to make memories with his loved ones after the challenges they have faced.
