50 Cent Cautions Trump About Diddy Following Pardon Question
In light of President Donald Trump’s recent pardon of reality TV figures Todd and Julie Chrisley, he was asked about his connection to Sean “Diddy” Combs and the possibility of pardoning the rapper if he’s found guilty of federal charges related to sex crimes. This inquiry came from Fox News reporter Peter Doocy.
Trump responded, indicating that although no formal requests have been made, he understands that people are considering the idea. He acknowledged his past friendship with Diddy, mentioning that their relationship soured when Trump entered politics, noting he saw some unfavorable comments about himself in the media.
However, Trump assured that their personal history wouldn’t influence his decisions. “I would certainly look at the facts,” he stated, emphasizing that he would base his choice on whether he believed someone was treated unfairly, regardless of any past friendship.
Rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, reacted to Trump’s comments via social media, reminding the president that Diddy has criticized him in the past. “I’m going to reach out so he knows how I feel about this guy,” 50 Cent wrote.
He also shared a post referencing an article with a headline suggesting he aimed to sabotage Diddy’s chances for a pardon. “I didn’t say nuke anything,” Jackson clarified, adding that he simply wants to ensure Trump is informed of Diddy’s past remarks.
50 Cent and Diddy have had a rocky relationship dating back to 2006, when 50 Cent accused Diddy of having knowledge about the murder of The Notorious B.I.G. In a recent statement, 50 Cent labeled Diddy a liar in response to the release of a controversial video involving Diddy and Cassie Ventura, asserting, “Everything that n—- says is a lie.”
He went on to express concern for those who might relate to the situation, condemning any actions that exploit power and influence over vulnerable individuals.
