Federal Reserve Cuts Interest Rates Amid Inflation Concerns The Federal Reserve recently made headlines by cutting interest rates for the second time this year. This decision, however, was not unanimous. Out of the 12 voting members on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), two expressed strong reservations about lowering rates.
