Todd and Julie Chrisley Released After Presidential Pardons
Pensacola, Fla. – Todd and Julie Chrisley are back home. The reality TV stars left federal prison in Pensacola, Florida, on Wednesday evening after serving two and a half years for bank fraud and tax evasion. Their release followed President Donald Trump’s decision to grant them pardons.
Todd’s lawyer, Alex Little, confirmed the news, stating that Todd is now on his way to Nashville. Julie, who was serving her sentence at a medical center in Kentucky, was also released the same night.
The couple’s daughter, Savannah Chrisley, expressed her gratitude and excitement about their release. She emotionally shared how relieved she was to be leaving with her dad. Savannah had been actively campaigning for her parents’ freedom, mentioning that prosecutors had targeted her father heavily.
Savannah revealed that she was shocked and grateful when she received the news of the pardons from President Trump. She thanked him for taking the time to inform her about her family’s reunion. "I’m literally fighting for every man that has been left behind here," she said, referring to others still incarcerated.
Her brother Grayson was reportedly on his way to pick up their mom. Savannah wore a pink "Make America Great Again" hat as she awaited the release, emphasizing her support for Trump and the values he represents.
Following the news of the pardons, the Chrisley children celebrated their parents’ return. Savannah noted Trump’s intervention as a huge turning point for their family, thanking him and his administration for their efforts.
The couple’s attorney, Alex Little, highlighted the significance of the pardons, stating that they essentially erase the couple’s convictions, allowing them to start fresh.
"President Trump’s use of the pardon power shows a different approach to the justice system, proving beneficial in cases where deserving individuals need a second chance," Little added.
The Chrisleys can now focus on rebuilding their lives and supporting their family after this challenging period.
