Adam Sandler Returns as Happy Gilmore in Sequel
Adam Sandler, beloved comedian and actor, is back in action with “Happy Gilmore 2,” nearly 30 years after the original became a classic. The new film brings familiar faces and introduces fresh talent, including Sandler’s daughters, Sunny and Sadie.
Sandler shared his parenting philosophy, emphasizing the importance of kindness. He advised his daughters to “be nice to everybody,” a sentiment echoed by co-star Julie Bowen, who plays publicist Virginia Venit. Bowen praised Sandler’s parenting skills, remarking, “You raised them right.”
Their conversation revealed Sandler’s dedication to treating everyone well, from big-name stars to hard-working crew members. He humorously added that if someone is making a lot of money, they might deserve a playful snap.
In a fun twist, Sandler was surprised to find his daughters on set, saying, “What’s up? What are you doing here?” His wife, Jackie, also makes an appearance in the film, alongside a star-studded cast that includes Chris McDonald, Ben Stiller, and rapper Bad Bunny.
Sandler’s character, Happy Gilmore, is back, this time focused on fulfilling his kids’ dreams. Reflecting on his successful career in comedy, Sandler stated the key lies in hard work and creativity.
Bowen initially hesitated about reprising her role, fearing Sandler might cast someone younger. Jokingly, she recalled her sons’ disbelief that she would not appear in the sequel. When Sandler learned about this, he reassured her, saying he would not replace her.
McDonald, returning as the villain Shooter McGavin, promised an even better rivalry this time around. He noted that while their competition is strong, there is also a newfound sense of teamwork to elevate the game of golf.
“Happy Gilmore 2” is set to hit Netflix on July 25, and fans are eagerly anticipating the comedic chaos that Sandler and his crew will bring back to the screen.
