President Donald Trump has labeled the recent shooting in Washington, D.C., that left two National Guard members seriously injured as “an act of terror.”
In a video shared on Truth Social, Trump expressed his belief that the shooter, who is now in custody, entered the United States from Afghanistan. He emphasized that this individual was part of the controversial flights organized by the Biden administration in September 2021.
“Nobody knew who was coming in, nobody knew anything about it,” Trump stated.
The President referenced information from the Department of Homeland Security, which confirmed that the suspect is indeed a foreign national. He criticized the lack of oversight during the evacuation process that brought many from Afghanistan to the U.S.
Trump concluded his address by urging a thorough review of all persons who arrived from Afghanistan during Biden’s administration. He stated, “We must take all necessary measures to ensure the removal of any foreigner who does not belong here or contribute positively to our country. If they can’t love our country, we don’t want them.”
