Noah Wyle is feeling grateful for the strong support he receives from his friends in the acting world, which includes several well-known faces.
While talking about his current role as Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch in the new series The Pitt, Wyle, who is also one of the show’s executive producers and writers, shared that it’s not just any compliments he values. Instead, it’s the praise from fellow actors that truly means the most to him.
“I have a little support group of actor friends, known as the Character Actor Dining Society, or CADs for short,” Wyle revealed in a recent interview.
This group consists of actors whom he greatly respects, including stars like Bryan Cranston, Laurence Fishburne, and Alfred Molina. Wyle expressed how honored he feels to be part of this circle, and noted that their positive feedback holds special significance for him.
While he did not specify what his colleagues have said about his performance, his co-star Fiona Dourif praised him by saying it was like watching a skilled ice skater. She mentioned how effortless his acting appears, especially given the complex choreography involved in the show’s medical scenes.
Wyle initially wasn’t keen on returning to a medical series after his famous role in ER. However, he recognized The Pitt as a chance to highlight the essential work of first responders during these challenging times. He believes the show can offer viewers a new perspective on hospitals and healthcare today.
Season 1 of The Pitt is available for streaming on Max.
