Jack Bech had a memorable night recently as he marked a significant milestone in his life and proudly remembered his older brother, Martin “Tiger” Bech.
Just three months after Tiger was tragically killed in the New Orleans attack on New Year’s Day, Jack, now 22, celebrated when he was selected 58th overall by the Las Vegas Raiders in the 2025 NFL Draft. This moment was bittersweet and deeply emotional for Jack, who dedicated his achievement to his brother.
Receiving the call from the Raiders was thrilling for Jack, who expressed it as “one of the best moments ever.” He highlighted the special bond he shared with Tiger, saying, “Not only do they get me, they get Tiger too.” It was a heartfelt tribute that underscored the importance of family in his journey.
Tiger, who was 27 at the time of his death, was a celebrated athlete in his own right, having played football at Princeton University. He was known for being part of the Ivy League Championship teams and had garnered multiple All-Ivy honors. After graduating, he pursued a successful career as a trader in New York City.
Jack shared how his brother’s legacy continues to inspire him. He mentioned that Tiger always encouraged him to push harder and strive for greatness, motivating him to reach heights he never thought possible. Jack promised to honor Tiger’s memory every day, ensuring that his name is remembered.
In a world where many focus on fame and success, Jack’s story serves as a reminder of the enduring bonds of family and the strength found in remembrance. He is committed to living out his brother’s legacy, demonstrating that love and dedication can guide one through even the toughest times.
