Search Intensifies for Missing Mother of TV Host
Tucson, Arizona – The FBI is making progress in the search for Nancy Guthrie, 84, the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, who has been missing since January 31st. Authorities have been diligently working to uncover the truth behind her disappearance.
A significant piece of evidence has emerged: a glove discovered near Mrs. Guthrie’s home. Preliminary DNA testing suggests a possible match to a masked individual seen on surveillance footage outside her residence the night she went missing. The FBI is awaiting official confirmation of these results.
Investigators have released video footage showing a masked person with a backpack outside Mrs. Guthrie’s home. The individual was wearing a ski mask, long pants, a jacket, and gloves. The FBI has identified this person as a suspect, describing him as a man of medium build, approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall, and carrying a 25-liter “Ozark Trail Hiker Pack” backpack.
Law enforcement has been actively pursuing leads, including sealing off a road near Mrs. Guthrie’s home and towing a vehicle from a nearby location. While these actions are related to the investigation, no arrests have been made at this time.
The search for Mrs. Guthrie is of utmost importance, especially given concerns about her health. She requires daily medication and has a pacemaker. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in bringing her home safely.
While ransom notes were reportedly sent to news outlets, the FBI is continuing to investigate all possibilities in this case. The focus remains on finding Mrs. Guthrie and ensuring the safety and security of our communities.
