Kelsey Grammer, known for his role in “Frasier,” recently shared his thoughts on being a conservative in Hollywood and how his political views have affected his relationships.
Grammer told Raymond Arroyo that while his conservative beliefs may have cost him some friendships, he has also gained new ones. He stated that he’s aware of the negative things said about conservatives, but he knows accusations like being called a racist are untrue.
He believes that despite the current political climate, liberals and conservatives still share common ground, although it may not be a popular viewpoint.
Grammer mentioned that while he doesn’t know the political views of all his co-stars, he found common ground with Pedro Pascal, who is known to be on the left, regarding the #MeToo movement.
Grammer also spoke about his faith, noting that despite moments of doubt, he has always returned to his belief in God. He shared a particularly emotional experience of questioning God after the tragic murder of his sister, Karen, and eventually finding solace in his faith.
He highlighted the importance of accountability and consequences, which he believes is a key reason for his conservative views, especially when it comes to dealing with violent criminals. However, he also expressed his opposition to the death penalty, affirming his pro-life stance.
