Chris Brown Arrested in Manchester
Chris Brown was arrested in Manchester, England on May 15, according to reports from local news outlets. The Metropolitan Police detained the 36-year-old musician at a hotel shortly after 2 AM on suspicion of serious bodily harm.
The police indicated that the arrest was linked to an incident that occurred on February 19, 2023, at a venue located in Hanover Square. Brown is currently in custody while the investigation is ongoing, led by detectives from the Manchester area.
In November 2023, Brown was also sued by a producer named Abe Diaw for an alleged assault that took place at the TAPE nightclub, which is situated in the same area. In the lawsuit, Diaw claimed that Brown attacked him with a bottle of tequila, leaving him with serious injuries that required hospitalization.
Brown is preparing for his Breezy Bowl tour, which celebrates 20 years of his music career. The tour is set to kick off with a sold-out performance in Amsterdam on June 8, and it includes two performances in Manchester on June 15 and 16 before heading to various locations in the United States starting July 30.
The Metropolitan Police traveled from London to make the arrest after receiving tips about Brown’s presence in the area. As per British law, suspects cannot be publicly identified until charges are officially filed to ensure a fair trial.
Brown’s team has been contacted for a comment but has not responded at this time.
