Browns Rookie Quarterback Caught Speeding in Strongsville
Strongsville, Ohio — In a recent incident, Shedeur Sanders, a rookie quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, was stopped for speeding on a suburban Cleveland highway. Law enforcement reported that Sanders was driving his pickup truck at 101 mph in a 60 mph zone on Interstate 71 early Tuesday morning.
The Strongsville Police Department apprehended Sanders at around 12:30 a.m. He faces the possibility of a $250 fine if he chooses to waive the misdemeanor case.
Sanders, the 23-year-old son of Hall of Fame player Deion Sanders, entered the NFL this spring as a fifth-round draft pick, despite many analysts projecting he would be selected in the first round. He previously played at the University of Colorado under his father’s coaching.
Currently, Sanders is competing with three other quarterbacks for a spot on the Browns’ roster. The team recently completed its minicamp and is gearing up for training camp, which will begin in late July.
