A couple from Massachusetts faced a scare just before their wedding when a thief stole their car, packed with everything needed for the big day. However, the bride’s quick action led to the car being recovered.
Julia Pallis and Collin Tully were ready to leave their home in the Boston area for their wedding in Vermont on August 28 when the incident occurred. Tully had left the car running for a moment while he went inside to fetch Pallis. When he returned, the car was gone.
Pallis recounted, “In just a minute or so, we went from being ready to go to realizing the car was stolen.” She immediately thought about the items left inside, including her wallet and laptop.
Then, she remembered that her laptop had tracking capabilities. She hopped into her own car and followed the thief through the streets, keeping the police updated on their location.
Thanks to Pallis’s quick thinking, a nearby police officer was alerted, and they were able to catch up to the stolen car. The officer, praised by Pallis, helped secure their belongings, including her wedding dress.
Police in Bridgewater were notified about the stolen vehicle shortly after it vanished. They quickly located the car and arrested the suspect, identified as 31-year-old Jason Grossett. Luckily, nothing was damaged, and all stolen items were recovered.
Tully expressed his admiration for Pallis, noting how composed she was during the ordeal. Despite the scare, the couple proceeded with their wedding weekend as planned and felt even more confident in their decision to marry.
Pallis stated, “We’re even more sure than ever that we’re making the right choice.”
