The deaths of Rob and Michele Reiner have shocked those who knew the family. Their son, Nick Reiner, has been charged in connection with their deaths.
Alanna Zabel, a yoga instructor who worked with the Reiner family, remembers Rob and Michele as dedicated parents. She taught yoga to them and their children in the early 2000s. Zabel recalls that Nick had difficulties during the yoga sessions.
According to Zabel, Nick’s issues as a child were challenging. She explained that Rob and Michele were very involved in trying to help their son.
Rob, 78, and Michele, 70, were found dead in their Los Angeles home. Nick, 32, has been charged with first-degree murder. Nick’s siblings, Jake and Romy, described their loss as deeply painful.
Zabel shared that after group yoga lessons, she began working with Nick privately. The goal was to help him calm down and manage his energy. She said Nick made progress, which inspired her to write a children’s book about a young boy learning to control his emotions.
Zabel believes that Nick’s childhood challenges were overwhelming, even with his parents’ efforts to get him help. She remembers Michele as a loving and devoted mother.
Nick Reiner appeared in court where his lawyer did not enter a plea. His arraignment is set to continue in January. Another source close to the family said that they struggled to find stability regarding Nick’s issues and tried everything to support their son.
