Rapper Yella Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, has been arrested in connection with the murder of fellow rapper Mo3. Authorities report that a Dallas County grand jury indicted Yella Beezy on charges of capital murder related to the death of Mo3, born Melvin Noble. The indictment was announced on March 18, and Yella Beezy was taken into custody two days later.
According to court documents, investigators believe that Yella Beezy may have hired another man, Kewon White, to carry out the murder in exchange for payment. Mo3 was tragically killed at the age of 28 in November 2020 while on Interstate 35 in Dallas. Reports indicate that White approached Mo3’s car and shot at him multiple times as he attempted to escape.
Kewon White and another individual, Devin Brown, have also been indicted in connection with Mo3’s murder, and their cases are ongoing. Yella Beezy currently remains in jail on a bond set at $2 million.
After his arrest, footage showed Yella Beezy being led away by police officers while handcuffed. His representatives and local authorities have been contacted for comments on this situation.
In previous years, Yella Beezy faced multiple legal issues, including charges that were ultimately dismissed. In 2018, he was shot at three times but survived and was treated in a hospital. He gained fame with popular tracks like “That’s On Me” and has recently released music featuring artists like Lil Wayne.
Mo3 was known for his remix of “Errybody,” which featured Boosie Badazz, and his single “Outside” was released posthumously following his passing.
