Title: Investigation Underway After Minnesota Woman Found Dead
A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Minnesota, where a 22-year-old woman named Kayli Arseth was discovered dead in her home. Authorities report that she had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Kayli’s family grew concerned when she failed to appear for plans and did not respond to calls or messages. They requested a welfare check, leading police to find her unresponsive on June 17 in Richfield.
A neighbor reported hearing a loud argument at Kayli’s home the night before, recalling that she heard Kayli ask, “How could you do this to me?” Shortly after, someone left the residence, according to the neighbor.
Investigations revealed that Kayli had met 27-year-old Jose Luis Lopez Xique online. They had been communicating on Snapchat, but their interaction ceased on the day her body was found. Messages showed that Lopez Xique had expressed romantic interest, which Kayli rebuffed, indicating she merely wanted to be friends.
On the day Kayli was last seen, she had requested Lopez Xique’s assistance with her motorcycle. Data from his phone traced him to her apartment building that same day.
As the investigation progressed, authorities uncovered two bags containing ammunition, gloves, and other items near where Lopez Xique’s phone was located the night of the murder. Records indicated that he had purchased these items earlier that day.
Lopez Xique was soon arrested. Interestingly, when taken into custody, he did not inquire about the reason for his arrest and seemed unconcerned. Additionally, police found a handgun in his home.
A GoFundMe has been established to support Kayli’s family, raising over $44,000. The organizer shared fond memories of Kayli, describing her radiant smile and ability to connect with anyone through conversation.
As the investigation continues, the local community mourns the loss of a vibrant young woman.
