A tragic event occurred in Kentucky on August 29, when a woman lost her life after being attacked by a group of dogs. The victim, 44-year-old Priscilla Jones, was walking in Flat Lick around 2:30 p.m. when she was seriously hurt by the roaming dogs, according to the Knox County Sheriff’s Department.
A nearby resident who knew Priscilla heard her cries for help and promptly called 911. The East Knox Fire Department arrived to find her in critical condition and unable to speak. Paramedics rushed her to Barbourville ARH Hospital, where she sadly passed away due to her injuries.
Authorities are currently investigating the incident, and the sheriff has mentioned that the owner of the dogs might face legal consequences. Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith emphasized that pet owners in Kentucky are responsible for keeping their animals controlled and confined.
In light of this heartbreaking incident, Sheriff Smith advised residents to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times.
Priscilla’s sister, Peggy Jones, shared her memories of her sibling, describing her as a “one-of-a-kind” person with “a heart of gold.” Peggy recalled how Priscilla would go out of her way to help others.
