Sex Toy Incident at WNBA Game Sparks Outrage
CHICAGO — An incident during a WNBA game has raised eyebrows yet again, as a sex toy was thrown onto the court for the second time in just a few days. This latest event occurred during the third quarter of a match where the Golden State Valkyries defeated the Chicago Sky 73-66. The toy lay out of bounds under the basket until an official kicked it aside to have it removed.
Sky center Elizabeth Williams expressed her frustration after the game, calling the act “super disrespectful.” She stated, “I don’t really get the point of it. It’s really immature. Whoever is doing it needs to grow up.”
A similar occurrence took place just days prior when the Valkyries played against the Atlanta Dream, where the match ended in a close 77-75 victory for Golden State. Valkyries forward Cecilia Zandalasini described the situation as “super dangerous,” but noted that her team managed to focus and stay concentrated despite the distraction.
New York Liberty forward Isabelle Harrison also took to social media to address the issue, urging arena security to take better precautions. She emphasized that throwing objects onto the court is not only disrespectful but also poses a serious safety risk for everyone involved.
This recent string of incidents underscores the need for stricter security measures at sporting events to ensure the safety and respect of the players and fans alike.
